Story

In April 2018, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, she died a few months later in July of that year. She is missed every day. In April 2019, my father was diagnosed with cancer. Unhappily, he died in June of that year. I had hoped that 2020 would bring some joy. However, in April 2020, much of the world is in lockdown and many people are fighting for their lives, some of whom do not have relatives caring for them by their bedside. It turns out that 2020 is a sad time for all of us. To help, I would therefore like to raise £1 million for the NHS and other health services around the world for people who will not receive the care that they need. This also includes money for personal protection equipment (PPE) and rainbow boxes

The NHS – and other health services – do not have enough personal protection equipment (PPE). Staff who are supposedly dealing with Covid negative patients – and therefore working without PPE – are finding that some of these patients are Covid positive. Rather than clapping for the NHS, it would be better if we could keep staff safe.

In addition, patients are being admitted to hospital without appropriate supplies such as nightwear and toiletries. We can help raise funds to stock rainbow boxes that contain essential supplies.
