50 years ago women's football was banned by the FC for 50 years and this injustice has been forgotten. UWWFC have collaborated with 50LostYears - a non-profit organisation - and university staff to hold an exhibition match to raise money and awareness for women's football. The charity we will be raising money for is GoalsForGirls, who use football to teach young women leadership skills and inspire community change. For years the football community has been fractured due to gender discrimination, the likes of GoalsForGirls are changing this. Football is for everyone, let's make that happen.
