I'm raising £1,500 for an animal cause

Julia was born Jan 2024. She had deformed and short front legs. She wandered about with the other goats 🐐 in her own way, gradually her legs began to twist.

We discussed her treatment with our amazing vet team at Glenythan Vet Group, it was decided to cast one leg at a time, during this process she had to stay in the farm house to keep clean and dry, the right leg was in a cast for 4 weeks then after 2 weeks in cast for the left leg her skin broke out so we had to stop and treat the skin. A few week with washing and applying cream her lower left leg went cold, the vets confirmed that their was no circulation, and it was decided it had to be amputated at the shoulder.

Waulkmill Menagerie is a not for profit social enterprise, it was started to give additional needs and mental health sufferers free animal therapy and volunteering opportunities. Julia is a popular favourite with visitors and has many followers.

She likes cuddles and she also has a diva side.
