Story

We want to raise money to split between various charities who help families who have lost a baby during and after pregnancy. On 19-12-2018 we gave birth to a sleeping beauty, our baby wasn't due until June 2019 but had passed away in my womb and was born at only 16 weeks and 3days into the pregnancy. The pain and confusion, the anger and the fear that this has caused our family is absolutely devastating and our journey of grief has only just begun. However I honestly don't know how we would have got through this awful time without the help and kindness of the hospital, the staff and many other charities set up to help bereaved families like ours. Our sleeping beauty was treated with the up most respect during the journey of birth, post mortem and on to the funeral and we will never forget the kindness shown during this impossible time. The hospital chapel paid for the baby's funeral service and cremation. Thanks to donations from independent charities we we're able to take memory boxes; not only for us but for the babys siblings too. These boxes are priceless when faced with such pain, the hospital staff took hand and foot prints for us to keep and have continued to support us since the birth. We still have a long way to go but I know that without all theses charities coming together and providing support and memory boxes our journey this far would have been a very different one. So we have decided in memory of our sleeping beauty - in the month of the due date we will be holding a fundraiser to help other families who face the same pain that we have. Our fundraiser will be called go bald for baby loss and will involve sponsored head shaving and body waxing among other things. Please help us help others in memory of our perfect sleeping angel 👼👼
