Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am raising money for Godmanchester Town Youth FC U13 team who next season will take the big step of playing in the Eastern Junior Alliance league which features teams from across Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the boys to play against the region’s best talent but it also means a lot of expense for the team and their parents as every year the cost of playing football goes up.
They are an amazingly talented group of hard working boys who love football and have a real desire to improve and grow as a team.
I really want to help them develop and enjoy their footballing journey and to do this they need support and funding.
Any donations we receive will go directly to the team fund so we can afford league fees, referee fees, tournament fees as well as buy training gear such as tops and rain jackets, footballs, cones and all the other equipment that is vital for the exciting but challenging seasons ahead.
For every donation we receive one of the team will post a skills video on our Twitter page along with a personalised Thank You message!
