Story
The Godley Hall was built in 1718, and has been used as a pubic house since 1830. It is one of, if not the oldest, buildings in the area, and is steeped in history.
We strongly believe that the Godley Hall Inn is a vital part of the local community. Not only is it a place where all are welcome, whether that be for a drink and a chat with friends or sampling some of the home cooked food, there are various groups and committees which use the pub as their hub, including a weekly acoustic folk music night, a dog walking club and the local golf society. Furthermore, the annual Summer Fun Days, Easter Egg Hunts and Christmas Parties are big events which are not only enjoyable for all who attend, but raise significant amounts of money for various charities.
We aim to not only keep the building open as a pub, but to turn it into a community building where numerious different activities and gatherings can take place.
