Rachel and I have worked together for the last 5 years in Occupational Therapy with Bromley Social Services. She has recently taken the bold move of deciding to leave work to train to become a Vicar with The Church of England.

Despite my great sadness in her leaving her profession, this is a clear calling from God, to which she is faithfuly responding. I remember having a discussion about this with Rachel a few years ago and her saying that if 10 people said she should move into ministry she would do it. Sure enough, within just a few weeks, 10 people had said it! She quickly tried to move the goal posts to 20 people!

Rachel is married to Adam and they have 4 children. The loss of her salary will have a big impact on the family and so I wanted to raise some money to help support them during this time. the training lasts 2 years and although I believe a small grant may be available, it will by no means replace her salary.
