Story

In January 2018, my family were left devastated after two of our children were each diagnosed with Leukaemia within two days of each other. These brave and inspiring children have been fighting with all their strength and along the way have been supported by some fabulous charities. As September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, we are going to run in the 10km Autumn WOLF Run to raise funds for two of these charities.

The Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group offer invaluable support and guidance to families affected by this dreadful disease and also work hard to raise awareness of childhood cancers. They also campaign to ensure that childhood cancer research gets a similar amount of funding for research as adult cancers. Government funding for children's cancer currently stands at 4% and below.

Matt's Mission is a small charity run by Matt alone. Matt works tirelessly to raise funds to bring smiles to the faces of sick, disabled and terminally ill children. He raises funds to grant wishes, amongst those wishes he pays to send sick children and their families away to Lapland and Disneyland Paris! He pays the ground rent on a caravan near the seaside so families can have some time away and also buys Christmas presents for the children as well as their siblings and much. much more!

We felt it was important that these charities know how invaluable their support has been, and how grateful we are as a family to have them, so we'd like to raise as much as possible and split all proceeds between them both!
