On Sunday, 25 February 2024, Golborne Brass Band competed in the North West Regional Brass Band Championships in the 3rd section for the first time since being newly promoted and achieved third place. We are absolutely thrilled with this result because it means we have qualified to compete at the National Finals in Cheltenham in September 2024.

Golborne Brass Band is based in the town of Golborne, near Warrington. We pride ourselves on our links to the local community, including a proud mining heritage. The band includes players from Wigan, Warrington and beyond and this is where we can be found throughout the year performing at local concerts and events.

We are fundraising to partially cover the costs of our upcoming trip to Cheltenham, including accommodation, transport, rehearsal venue hire, music, and instrument maintenance. Any donations would mean the world to us, and we are looking forward to representing the North West at the National Finals.
