I've raised £10000 to a new electric scoreboard and Kitchen

Golcar Cricket Club, Established in 1871, is one of the founder members of the Huddersfield & District Cricket League.
We are a community club delivering sports and social communities for thousands of people each year. We have 2 senior cricket teams playing in the Huddersfield cricket league as well as 5 junior cricket teams for both boys and girls. Within our thriving junior section we have over 100 boys and girls actively playing and training at the club each week through the summer months. The coaching and guidance from our junior coaches at the club has helped provide a number of Golcar juniors representing Yorkshire County Cricket Club at various age groups for the last 5 years.
Over the past few years Royds Hall School have used the cricket field as a facility to play cricket games against other Huddersfield schools, benefiting not just the local catchment area with these facilities.
Golcar Cricket Club is not only a cricket club but a location for the whole community to come together. This is represented with Golcar United football club being based from the Cricket club. The club also hosts an annual bonfire and firework display for the village and has previously held fundraising events for other charities. This has ranged from quiz nights, BBQ’s and bouncy castle based events held on the field. In the past 2 years the club has hosted bands which have helped towards raising £7,000 for the make a wish foundation.
To continue to be able to provide these facilities and supports to charities and our open age and junior cricket teams we are in need of a new Kitchen and Scoreboard, while we have applied to gain help with some of these costs we will need help to gain further funding towards these projects.
