    Story

Following a successful year of fundraising in 2016 by the Russell Roof Tiles team, I have put myself forward in an attempt to raise further funds for our nominated charity, which will assist in supporting the local communities of Dumfries & Galloway and Shropshire & Staffordshire.
Russell Roof Tiles nominated charity is volunteer-led, providing lifesaving medical supplies across NHS foundations, with the transportation of vital blood products, organs for transplant and other life-critical supplies for the younger generation, such as premature babies. This is where every minute counts in helping seriously ill & injured patients.
Becoming a father this year, ones outlook on life changes and the desire to give something back to the communities which have provided support increases.
Having been a keen golfer for years, I am taking part in a 72 hole Golf Marathon at Leamington and County Golf Club. The challenge will involve playing 4 rounds of golf, Walking some 24 Miles carrying a golf bag (with plenty of balls) and playing an approx. 350 shots all in the space of 16 hours. For anybody who plays golf you will know that playing 18 holes a day is enough, especially if it's with me, so to set the target of 72 holes in a day seemed a little more appropriate.
This will be physically demanding, with the first ball being struck from the tee at 5:30 am on Friday 4th August and my estimated time of completing the challenge is 8:30 - 9:00pm that evening.

All monies donated will be going to Russell Roof Tiles nominated Charity, which following 2016 they are now our adopted charity, due to the importance of their voluntary work in saving so many lives.

Any donations will be gratefully received and will go towards saving many lives and make a huge difference to the families of those which are affected.

Thank You to everybody who supports and donates towards this very worthwhile cause.
