We are sure that people are aware of how the youth in London are suffering with lack of role models, activities and places to go. The increase in crime whether it be drugs or knifecrime are mainly coming from the youth however many people tend to block out this issue or are afraid of tackling it.

We have set up this initiative in Masjid Ansar located in Goodmayes, Ilford where we cater for youth every Saturday night from 8PM-11.30PM for boys 14 and over. Our goal and vision is to bring the youth back to where they should be (aspiring figures of society, individuals who make a change to the world and have a vision). We have a tarbeeyah programme where insha’Allah if successful, it will develop the character, values and mindset of the teenagers.

Alhamdulillah the masjid is supporting us but we would like more support to expand and cause more effect to counter the ills of society.

The brothers who have set up the youth programme have a vision for the future in creating a network of youth around the Redbridge borough. We have set up this page in hope of raising money for youth causes whether it be activities, trips or resources. We do not want to make the children feel like this youth programme is a strain hence we do not want to charge them a sum of money which is difficult for them for activities and trips as they should be catered for, we are hoping to avoid this as much as we can.

The Prophet (pbuh) said:

your youth before your old age,

your health before your sickness,

your wealth before your poverty,

your free-time before your preoccupation,

and your life before your death.”
