Story
Having volunteered at GOSH for a number of years, I've been overwhelmed by the bravery of the patients and their families. Within the hospital there is an activity centre where children can be looked after by volunteers from Monday through to Saturday giving their parents a chance to take a well deserved break even if for a couple of hours.
The activity centre contains all a child could want: toys, crafts, dolls house, xbox etc. But a lot of these things are old and need replacing. So having spoken to the head of volunteer services at the hospital, I thought we could try and raise as much money as possible to replace these items so we can to try and make the festive period as special as possible for the children.
In addition to this page, I will set up a collection box in the kitchen so please give any money you can to help this cause. Also with Freshfields' matched funding policy, any money we raise will be matched by the firm.
Thank you!

8 years agoThank you for all your generous donations. Together with cash donations we have raised: £300. Once Freshfields has matched this, that will bring the grand total to £600. I will circulate an email shortly with a list of the toys that we will buy for the children of Great Ormond Street Hospital with your help!
