The Gossip Around Ilfracombe Facebook Group aims to raise money for local groups and organisations that directly benefit the Ilfracombe Community.

FULL DETAILS - Business Posts in Gossip Around Ilfracombe

Back in May last year we stopped the requirement for donations to be made for anyone making a business related post in Gossip Around Ilfracombe.

To date this has remained the case to give as many of our local business owners a fighting chance to get through what has been a difficult time for all of us.

With the reopening of the majority of our local businesses, coupled with the marked increase of business traffic on Gossip, anyone wishing to make a business post (with the exception of local Not for Profits and Charities) will now have to make a donation to post into this group.

Business Post Process

The way this will work is as follows:

All Business Pages on Gossip have been removed.

A one off £5 donation from each Business Page will then permit them access to rejoin the group.

Business Pages will then be put on Admin Post Approval.

Once a post has been received for approval the Admin will check the Just Giving page for a corresponding donation.

The donation for each post is as before - £4

Donations for multiple posts are fine but please make sure you annotate the individual dates you are intending to post onto the Just Giving page entry.

NO DONATION – NO POST

A Business will be permitted to post 2 times a week (Monday - Sunday) and no more than once a day (Midnight to Midnight)

Anyone sharing a business post using a personal profile without making a donation will require all future posts to be approved by an Admin before publishing.

In the event that Facebook will not let you join Gossip using your Business page, which it does occasionally for no apparent reason, simply drop me a message.

Main Group Banner Image

The main group banner image will also be made available.

The donation for this will be £30 for a week (Mon – Sun).

DO NOT make a donation until you have messaged me and we have arranged the week for your Ad.

Consecutive weeks bookings are not permitted & you are reminded that you are responsible for the design of your banner and that it is correctly sized. The Admins do not have the time to make any changes on your behalf.

Where the donations go

All of the money raised from the business donations will be given to Ilfracombe based charities, groups, organisations or events.

We intend to periodically make posts for suggestions or publish a group poll.

Making a donation - Well the good thing is you have found the right Just Giving Page !

When you are making a donation via the Just Giving page YOU are responsible for making sure you put the correct amount as any overpayments can not be refunded.

Final Words

Please remember that this is a group of over 18,000 members, there are 3 Admins, we don’t get paid for this, hence we all work and are not online 24/7, so please bear with us if your requests are not actioned immediately.

Automatic deletion of posts by Facebook, which they deem as a breach of their Community Violations, are also on the increase so please help us to keep this group running as smoothly as possible by following the rules. We really don’t want to be on Facebook’s “naughty list”.
