I've raised £20000 to buy milk for kids in Lebanon.

Halib means milk in Arabic.
In Lebanon fresh milk is rare - imported powder milk has become luxury.
Financially stretched to breaking point by financial + political turmoil, the COVID-19 crisis & August 4th Beirut explosion, families are struggling to buy milk for their children.
There is nothing more heartbreaking than a parent not being able to afford milk for their kids, directly affecting their growth.
Help us help them.
This December, no matter their nationality or religion, no kid in Lebanon will go thirsty - NOT ON OUR WATCH!
We have contacted NGO's with 2 simple questions: Do you need Milk? if yes, how many bags? Based on the data gathered we put a target of 5,000 bags. 1 x 2kg bag per family.
£4 (€4.5 / USD 5.2 / CAD 6.5 / AUD 7 / LBP 45,000) buys 1x2kg bag of milk
£30 ( €33 / USD 39 / CAD 51 / AUD 55 / LBP 312,000) buys a case of 7 bags
No donation is too small. Every bag counts. Every child counts.
(For donations from Lebanon, in LBP - please contact us directly)
We have identified the below NGO's, shelters, orphanage, camps, and private civilians that are helping families in need - throughout Lebanon.
The Milk will be distributed through their channels, in the 4 corners of Lebanon:
Beirut: Lebanon of Tomorrow , Basecamp , Sisters of Charity , AGBU , Missionaries of charity , private groups such as 'Tantet el Ashrafieh'.
North Lebanon: Tripoli through private group, Social and Cultural Association of Mashta Hassan / Akkar.
South Lebanon: El-Buss refugee camp, various private groups in remote villages.
Bekaa Valley: SAWA association , Sawa for dev + aid.
55% of Lebanon's population is under the poverty line , 23% of which are living in extreme poverty (Escwa)
Minimum wage: LBP 30,000 ($3.75) per day / LBP 675,000 ($84) per month
Supermarket price for 2 kg bag of Milk = LBP 44,500 (October 2020)
1 bag of Milk = aprx 6.5% of monthly minimum wage salary
