    Story

    Gozo is the foal of one of our rescue mares (she was in foal when she arrived). He has very large abscesses on his shoulder which needs medical treatment. We are looking for financial help to pay for his treatment.

      It is with a heavy heart we share the sad news that Gozo had to be put to sleep this afternoon. Even though his abscesses were shrinking and healing with twice-daily washes, he was showing symptoms of septicemia. The decision was made to put him to sleep to end his suffering. Despite Gozo passing, we will keep the crowdfunding page open to help pay for his vet bills. If anyone has any (any at all) questions/ queries regarding their donation, please let me know. Rest in peace Gozo. We loved you very much.

    At Cecil's Horse Sanctuary our aim is to make sure that a healthy horse is never put to sleep. At present we are experiencing a large amount of abandoned horses in this country. We hope to provide them with love and care to enable them to live out their lives happily.
