Story

Welcome to my fundraising page for the FOXG1 Research Foundation! I've created this page to raise ongoing support for groundbreaking research that's changing the future for children with FOXG1 syndrome- a rare and severe neurological disorder.

This cause is close to my heart. I'm fundraising in honor of our baby girl Grace who has recently been diagnosed with FOXG1 syndrome.

FOXG1 is a neurological disorder where she’s missing genes in her brain. The genes that she is missing are some of the most important genes, these genes signal the body’s movement, growth and development.

This means that Grace may never walk, talk, sit, or even eat on her own. One of the most common side effects is having seizures and developing epilepsy.

There is an amazing parent/-led foundation in America working wonders and developing a treatment called Gene Therapy. If the treatment goes to trials and is successful. It could mean that Grace and all children with FOXG1 around the worlds futures could be changed.

We are raising money to help the treatment go to trials and give Grace the future she deserves 🙏🩷
