My name is Grace Haskins and I am studying for my A-levels. I am interested in conservation and believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn and achieve their full potential.
I have set myself the challenge of raising the funds to support an expedition to South Africa with Outposts UK in 2017. During the trip I will be undertaking an Environmental Awareness Course, working with 'CROW'- Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife which helps over 3000 orphaned, injured and displaced animals each year and working as a volunteer at a primary school, with teachers and the local community to help improve the lives of children. I will also participate in the 'School in a Bag' project which was created to help poor, orphan and vulnerable children. Each bag is filled with equipment to ensure a child can go to school, receive a meal and build their future.
I am hoping to undertake various activities to help raise the funds. This will include events such as various running races, cake sales, bag packing, a sponsored silence ( several of my friends believe this is unachievable!! ), car boot sales and anything else I can think of!
Trying to raise all the money will be a difficult task so any donations will be gratefully received.
