Grace Honduras is a non profit organization, that is committed to rescue and educate the children living and working in the city dumps trash of San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa in Honduras.
This year 2017 we opened our first school in San Pedro Sula, with 20 children that had never had an education and their living conditions were inhumans. (We also aim to open a second school in Tegucigalpa).
But we need your support as we are struggling to keep working in our school because we cant afford every month to pay for the teachers (which salary is below the minimum wages), the food (which is given daily to each student), school supplies, legal paperwork ( as the 85% of our students do not have a birth certificate and we need to make the right process in order to integrate them to the sociaty and the educational system), medical expenses (the mayority of them have nutritional deficiencies, health problems due to contaminated environment they were living on and for whenever any of them get ill needing emergency medical attention).
We were forced to closed the school in June due to the lack of money to pay the teachers, to buy food; and one of our students (Genesis) fainted , as there was no food to feed them. We manage to reopened the school but we're still struggling to keep the cost of all this work.
All these children families are living in extreme poverty, and they need our help , please help us, help them; it wont take much from you but it will give so much to them.
We decided to open this fundraising with an approximate bugget to stay open through a whole school year, without having to have a bad situation like the one we had in June 2017.
