In the summer of 2019, I will be partaking in an amazing expedition with my school to Borneo where we will take part in a variety of volunteering activities. We will start off by trekking through the rain forest until we get to a rain forest research center where we will be collecting and analyzing data to allow us to learn more about what is happening in the world around us today. After this, we will continue through the rain forest towards Sepilok orangutan and sun bear sanctuary. Once we get there, we will be helping out with the animals and learning more about them and dangers that they face. Finally, we will continue to trek further until we reach a village in Borneo where we will be taking part in a community project (e.g. building shelter, installing much needed water tanks ect.) to help improve the residents standard of living. By donating you will be helping me get to Borneo to not only to allow me to take part in these once in a lifetime opportunities and experiences but also to allow me to help change someones life for the better.
