Story

Along with a group of people from my College, I am going to be travelling to Gambia In November of this year to help teach nursery-age children in a school there. The school we will be working with has been the focus of the Gambia trip for a few years now; they have helped build further classrooms and a new roof for the school as well as building an entire new floor of classrooms and we are now raising money to fund a safety rail so that the children are safe at school. (The picture below shows the school in November 2017 when the last group of students from our college visited.)

The money that I am aiming to raise here will go entirely to one of the teachers at the school and will be their entire years' salary; £400, i'm sure you'll agree with me, is not a very large amount when you spread the cost over a year, so therefore I am hoping to raise this amount by climbing Snowdon three-legged! This will take place on the 27th of October 2018 with a group of friends so that I am able to travel to give back to the teachers at the school.
