Story
We are raising money for our daughter Grace to undergo a number of therapies to help & improve her quality of life.
Grace is the most beautiful & happiest little girl we know, but she does have difficulties!
Grace had a very difficult and traumatic birth, where she suffered lack of Oxygen to the brain, which has left her with brain damage called Periventricular Leukomalacia, she has very little physical ability, where she is unable to do much for herself & has very high muscle tone in one of her arm's which requires lots of physiotherapy exercises.
The future is currently unknown for Grace as professionals do not know what the outcome will be with regards to with walking, talking etc. She has special equipment at home & nursery to help her through everyday life. We are currently waiting for diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy.
The therapies include:
HBOT (Oxygen therapy) -This helps to treat patients with brain injuries & cerebral palsy. It heals the existing wounds that may exist in the tissue. Due to brain injury, the brain isn’t signalling clots or wounds within the tissue to be healed, increase of oxygen carried in the blood plasma allows those wounds in the tissue to be healed. It's important if there are wounds, excess fluid, or blood clots in the brain as the influx of oxygen allows the body to heal those areas. The tissues in the brain that have become dormant, by increasing oxygen in the body, overall brings life back into those areas
AMB Method - Rather than focusing on the limitations & trying to directly fix the problem level of muscle, joints & soft tissue, the focus is shifted to where the most powerful solutions actually lie- within the brain. AMB works by communicating with the brain, facilitating the formation of new neural connections and patterns.
As we do not have the funds for her to receive these therapies any donations big or small will be much appreciated to help try and change a little girls future.

6 years agoSo today Grace had her first session of Oxygen Therapy over in Leeds. It was a little daunting at first, she looked like a little astronaut. She managed to do 30 minutes out of the hour session which we are quite pleased with. We have another session booked for Friday, fingers crossed she can manage the hour. Thank you to everyone who has helped us so far for us to start Graces journey...

7 years agoI'd just like to update you on Graces progress so far. We have managed to raise £1960 in total to date. Yesterday my work colleagues had brought in lots of homemade cooking to sell and also lots of gifts and prizes to do a raffle to help raise funds for Grace. They managed to raise just over £340 from this and the rest has been generously donated. Me and Elliot are so grateful for everyone's generosity and support. I will continue to do the raffles as I still have lots of vouchers etc
