Story

10 year old Gracie-May has decided that she would like to have her long hair cut at least 7inches shorter in order to donate her hair to a charity which makes wigs for children.

She will be having her hair cut on Friday 21st June at 5.30pm At kyte and co.

Through doing this she is asking people to sponsor her so she can raise some money to donate to a little girl called Audrina.

A little bit about Audrina...

She is just 4 years old and has a High risk neuroblastoma and has been battling this disease since July 2018!

Even with all this intense treatment children with high risk neuroblastoma have a very high risk of relapse with more than 50% of tumours returning. When relapse occurs there is only a 1 in 10 chance of survival.

This is why Audrina needs your help. They are fundraising for specialist treatment in the US that helps prevent relapse called DFMO. DFMO has already saved hundreds of childrens lives by preventing recurrent disease. It works differently to all the other treatment Audrina will receive and we are confident will be an effective barrier against relapse.

However, this treatment will cost £200000 as it is only available in the USA. It is imperative Audrina receives this treatment to ensure her cancer does not return and she can finally get back to living a normal life and enjoying her childhood.

So this has made Gracie-May want to join them in their collection and do her own little fundraiser. All the money she collects will go straight Audrina. They have their own charity called ‘keep Audrina Dancing’.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated :)
