Story
Gracie was born in Bristol children’s hospital on the 20-10-2015. She has a heart condition called tetra logy of the fallout and disgorge syndrome which affects her immune system this has caused delays in her mobility and development. When Gracie was two months old she went into cardiac arrest and we nearly lost her but thankfully she made a full recovery.
Gracie has had many stays in hospital since birth for her cardiac condition where she has balloon dilation and stents fitted to her pulmonary arteries because they are very narrow this is via cardiac catheterisation and she’s currently not eligible for full corrective surgery so cardiac Cath is the only route available at present.
She is on oxygen 24 hours a day and tube fed via an Ng tube that is passed through her nose
She’s a bright bubbly little girl who melts the hearts of the people she meets, She’s very determined in every way possible she loves watching her brothers and sisters play and we would love for her to be able to join in with them where’s it’s safe for her to do so. She has learnt how to roll around the floor and she can sit up with support, she really enjoys being on her feet but hasn’t got the strength to hold her own weight, it would be fantastic if we could get her a standing frame that would give support to where Gracie needs it. The frame that would help the most is an easy stand that will give full support to help gain strength in her hips and knees.
We as one team of local Sky engineers and line mangers are coming together to do a 50 mile bike ride from Porthcawl to Pembrey in the hope of raising the £2300 required to purchase the ‘EasyStand’. We would all be very grateful if you could support us in achieving this for Gracie. As the saying goes “every little helps”
