Story

On 24th April 2017, our beautiful little Grace was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in her right leg, just above her knee. She had been misdiagnosed with "growing pains" earlier in the year, but otherwise had been leading a normal and happy life, like any other sporty, fun loving 13 year old. Since her diagnosis she has already undergone 12 weeks of intensive chemo and on 10th August she had surgery to remove the tumour, her entire knee and the surrounding muscle and bone. She will now have to endure an additional 30 weeks of treatment. Throughout all of this, she has never lost that smile!

Her mother Jayne has been forced to give up her job to care for Grace, as she needs round the clock care both in hospital and when she comes home. Lots  of  friends  and  family  have  asked  how  they  can  help,  we  have  therefore  decided  to  set  up  a  fundraising  page,  so  that  we  can  raise  enough  money  to  send  Grace  and  her  family  on  a  much  needed holiday after  her  treatment  finishes  next  year  and  something  for  them  all  to  look  forward  to  over  the  coming months  as  Grace  recovers  from  the  arduous  chemo  and  surgery.

In true Grace style, she  has  requested  that  some  of  the  money  raised  be  used  to  buy  special  gifts  and  treats  for  the  amazing  friends  that  she  has  made  in  hospital,  so  that  they  can  have  something  special  too!
