    Story

Hi. I am helping a friend Emma Baldwin to raise the 100k she needs to recieve immunotherapy treatment for cancer in Germany.

I will be doing two events to raise £500, a chest and back waxing, at 8th Planet Beauty and also a 15 kilometre obstacle race Rough Runner in Manchester on Oct 21st 2017.

Hi my name is Emma I'm 37 and the little boy in the photo is Dylan he's 7 and my world.
I've been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes and unfortunatly the NHS can't cure.
To hear the words no cure is devastating, put yourself in my shoes for a moment imagine not being able to see your child grow up, to see them get married and to see your grandchildren and most heartbreakingly of all to leave your child without a Mum.
I'm constantly wondering how long I have left, will I get to see him go to high school? see his first love? see him learn to drive? and just support him through all the things as a Mother you take for granted that you will do.
I've been having chemotherapy since March and it's been very tough but I kept focused on the goal of shrinking the tumour and having a break from it, but my most recent scan shows that the tumour in my breast hasn't shrunk as hoped and I will have to have chemo every 3 weeks to try to keep it under control for as long as the chemo keeps working.
So if you're reading this here's where you can help me, there is potentially life saving treatment available in Germany called immunotherapy which uses your own immune system to attack the tumours but it is at a huge cost over £100,000 which is a massive amount but could prolong my life and even in some cases have put people in remission!

Well done Graeme and good luck with both of your events. I suspect the wax will bring a tear to your eye and the obstacle course will only make you sore for few days. But all worth it for your friend!

I went to primary and secondary school with Emma Baldwin, and having seen her recently at an event to raise money for her appeal, I thought it would be a good idea to do my own event to help raise money for her treatment of immunotherapy which is extremley expensive.
