Story

In 1990 I visited Kenya on a military training exercise with my regiment and met up with some Christians from the Kenya Assemblies of God. At that time we were able to send a speaker system to them to assist them in speaking about Jesus at public meetings. I was recently in communication with a man called Boniface, he and his family travel 20 miles to attend a village Church, they aren't wealthy in a material sense but spiritually they are millionaires, they love Jesus. Boniface sold his cow recently to purchase speakers so that they could play music to accompany their singing in Church. I say Church, the old wooden building has basically fallen down and they have been building a new one for the last 8 years. It isn't finished yet, they need about £16,000 to finish the project but lack of finances (which are linked to drought/lack of crops) has slowed the work significantly, they do believe however that they will complete the work someday. I guess for me this is one of those situations where God speaks to your heart and tells you to do something about it, so here I am, doing something about it, inviting anyone who reads this to make a contribution to help in completing the building and renovation work. I would appreciate it if you could pass this message on if you are a member of a Church as I'm aware that some will already have a heart link to the Church in Kenya and may feel that this cause is one that calls out to them. Thank you for considering this request.
