    Story

We are holding a mini football tournament - Kingston University vs 1st Hook Scouts - to raise money for Graham Tucker. The match will take place at Tolworth Court Sports Ground (click here for information) on Sunday 9 September 2018 at 1pm. As you know, Graham has had trouble getting travel insurance for a holiday so hopefully this will help. It's going to be a fun day so please pop along and support your team!

I want to say a big thank you to everybody for your kindness and support and mention a few people who really helped with the organising: Ollie Chapman (KU Business), David Rimmer (KU IT), Emma Crouch (VC’s Office at KU), Sheila Mills (Tolworth Sports Ground), Rob Pattinson (KU Communications), Classic Miniatures (who provided the trophies) and Graham’s son-in-law Rob (who was fantastic organising things from the non-KU end). We raised all in all over £2700 and I know after speaking to Graham how grateful he was and how much he enjoyed the day.

We've raised the £1000 that I initially targeted. No excuse for complacency, however. Let's see how high we can go :-) Thank you once again to all those who have donated!

I met Graham in 2012 when I first started at Kingston University. I always appreciated his help and enjoyed our lunchtime talks in the staff room. When he told me about his struggle to get travel insurance I thought perhaps I could return some of that help...
