Story
This year I stood as Labour candidate in the general election. Together we did really well , doubling the Labour Vote and turning the Camborne, Redruth & Hayle constituency into a key target for Labour. We are sending a full set of delegates to the National conference in Brighton so that not only will we be noticed by the rest of the party, but will be able to learn, network and bring back to the constituency new knowleds and experiance to share with all members.
Funds are always tight and covering some of the expenses for delegates is eating into our campaign funds. If you can spare even a fiver then this will ensure that there are funds left in the kitty ready to fund the next election campaign. I will be attending the conference alongside the delegates: Amanda Walsh, Paul Farmer, Cathy Page and Matthew Brown.

7 years agoThanks to all those who donated to the cause. We didn't reach the total, but every bit has helped to get our delegates to the conference so that we can put Cornwall on the agenda. I personally got to speak to a number of shadow ministers, MPs and activists from accross the country seeking support for our campaigns to turn Cornwall red. Lots of interest in coming to visit, including from Jeremy Corbyn, John Mc Donnell, Jonathan Ashworth and even a promise to electrify the railway line to Penzance!

Many of our neighbourhoods are among the most deprived in England. Having delegates from the CRH constituency is essential for Labour to win in Cornwall and address poverty :)

I am a Camborne Town Councillor and was the Labour Party candidate in the 2017 general election. I have organised the Camborne & Redruth Charity walk annually since 2014. The sponsored walk will take place on 1st October (just after we get back from conference)
