Miscarriage is a topic that people never really want to think or talk about never mind go through but unfortunately Miscarriage is the most common kind of pregnancy loss, affecting around one in four pregnancies.

Unfortunately my partner and I had to go through this over Christmas just when we had planned how to announce to our parents.
It was deeply heart breaking and like at any devastating time you wonder where you can go from here.

We were lucky we had a good hospital with amazing Doctors and Nurses but it got me thinking. I don't think there is enough awareness for this, especially considering there is such a high percentage of miscarriages. We were lucky enough to have people around us but some people may need more help.

Soooooo .....

Over the year of 2018 I plan to do a variety of events in hope to raise awareness for The Misscarriage Association.
I am running the London Marathon, The Great North Run and hoping to hold a few other events throughout the year. It is also the year I turn 30, (the week before the London Marathon) so every penny I receive for my birthday will go towards this charity.

I know there are so many charities out there and so many people ask for donations but this is more about awareness than anything for me. If you can donate anything no matter how small it would be thoroughly appreciated but I ask that you share this and follow the link and just have a read about it.
