I've raised £2500 to to help fund my grandad (Stan) rehab and therapy following a major stroke he had on the 23rd of august leaving him unable to talk or walk.

6 weeks ago my grandad had a major stroke on the left hand side of his brain which has resulted in him being unable to speak, walk or use any part of the right side of his body.
Before the stroke, my grandad Stan was a very strong and active man who was still working as a handy man 5 days a week and run a small holding farm with my gran Patsy.
My grandad was in hospital for 4 weeks…
From there he was transfered to a stroke rehab ward where he has been seeing physiotherapist and speach therapist daily.
He has been making small improvements and we are taking each day as it comes. Unfortunately, his rehab is going to be 6-9 months before we see any bigger improvements due to how much of his brain has been affected by the stroke.
Due to the pressures on the NHS and the shortage of staff and beds, in 3-4 weeks time my grandad will be transferred home.
As much as there will be some benefits of this, it is going be a massive change to my grans life with becoming his full time carer.
But most importantly- although he will have regular nurse support, unfortunately the specialist rehab treatment he is currently getting will be stopped.
As a family we want to give my grandad the best possible chance of being able to talk or walk again so he can lead a normal life.
Motion Rehab specialist based in York have space to help us and my grandad…but as you can imagine this comes at a substantial cost.
We would like to raise a total of £2000 to fund the first month of rehab while my gran and family work out how we are going to fund the rest of his treatment.
Mu brother Liam, my best friend Charlotte, her parnter Gus and myself are going to climb the 3 yorkshire peaks in a day.
This is a total of 24 miles long and we will be aiming to complete this in 12 hours!
Any donations towards our cause would be massivley appreciated, not only by myself but my entire family and grandad too.
Thank you for reading
