GRANNY IN A TRANNIE - DELIVERING AID TO UKRAINE

PLEASE - JUST GIVE. EVERY £5 MAKES A DIFFERENCE 🙏

Times are hard for everyone at the moment, but if life is tough here, just think how tough it is for the people of Ukraine, many of whom have lost their jobs, their homes, their freedom - even their loved ones. Food, fuel, medicines and everyday essentials are scarce. Hospitals have run out of basic medical equipment. The Ukrainian people are having to rely on the generosity of strangers like us to survive, and we need your help to get life-saving aid to them.

Despite the fact that we are pensioners with a combined age of 143, we have now made two 3000-mile round-trips to the Polish-Ukraine border in our transit van loaded with humanitarian aid. On our second trip in May we also had as many wheelchairs and crutches as we could cram in.

Brittany Ferries have been amazing and gifted us free ferry crossings but each trip still costs us over £1000 - the diesel bill alone is over £750 and rising all the time - and we need your support to help us finance our next trip in mid-July.

The Aid that we deliver is donated to Exeter Friends of Ukraine, an organisation with Ukrainian and Polish locals amongst its founders. They have direct contacts in Ukraine who let them know exactly what aid is required week-by-week, and where it is needed.

We have also taken gifts and equipment to a Refugee Camp on our first trip, and to a Refuge for displaced mothers and children on the second trip.

This was our first load which we delivered in April

This is us at the drop-off point on the Polish-Ukraine border after unloading. We can’t quite believe that all this came out of our van! And within hours, a fleet of smaller vehicles arrived, loaded up and drove it deep into Ukraine, where the need was greatest.

This is the Refuge on the Polish/Ukraine border where we delivered educational supplies and toys.

Just some of the crutches and wheelchairs we delivered on our second trip.

The situation in Ukraine is getting worse daily, and every consignment that we can deliver makes a huge difference.

So, please help us help the people of Ukraine by making a donation now, no matter how small.

Thank you.
