Hello! Thank you for visiting this fundraising page. For my 40th birthday this year I would love to invite you to help me develop my children's web series 'Granny Pearl'! With your help I can make something brilliant happen.

As some of you will know, I have created a wonderful children's theatre show and web series featuring a magical character called Granny Pearl. Granny Pearl lives on a beautiful windswept island somewhere off the British coast, is full of magical stories about the sea and is 103 years old! But there's one more thing about Granny Pearl that makes her even more special. Granny Pearl is a mermaid!!

I've set up this fundraising page to help me develop the Granny Pearl web series so it is accessible to more children in more places across the UK and so I can spend time actually promoting it. With money raised here I will be able to:

-add BSL to the four existing episodes

- spend time promoting and sharing the series with schools, families and theatres across the country, growing an audience for Granny Pearl.

I am incredibly proud of what I have already achieved with Granny Pearl as I filmed the web series during lockdown in my bedroom on my phone and edited everything on my laptop.

Developing the existing web series by adding BSL will enable more children to access and enjoy the series and with the other half of the funds I will be able to spend time promoting the series and help it reach more people. It deserves a bigger audience and to be seen by professionals who I can work with in the future to deliver performances, workshops and talks all inspired by the world of Granny Pearl. I want to use the web series as a way to support a UK tour of the theatre production of Granny Pearl in 2022 featuring accompanying beach workshops accessible to as many children as possible. Long term I am imagining it as a children's television drama or arts and storytelling series but I need to get the basics done first and actually get it out there.

'Granny Pearl' is a gentle, welcoming, charming introduction to the coast for young children. It brings young audiences something informative, creative and magical at the same time! The coastal element of the show is ever present through the visuals and sound. The workshops I'd love to run off the back of this series will take place on the beach, in and out of rockpools. Where children cannot visit the beach I will take sensory beach workshops to them. But, it all depends on an injection of funds now which will help push 'Granny Pearl' to the next level and be seen by the right people.

You can watch the existing episodes of 'Granny Pearl' here and my website with further info and resources is here. Please contact me through my website if you have any questions! Thank you for reading, I hope you'll consider making a donation.

Best wishes, Jenny x
