I know what some will think, "oh here we go, another sob story".

My Gran is a proud person, she worked hard since she was a young girl and has always looked after everyone else.

She was married and had 3 children, only to be left by her husband for another woman. She brought up her children by herself whilst working 3 jobs to ensure they were well looked after and educated, so they could give back to this country and make the most of their lives.

She never met anyone else or re-married, her view was she had married her life partner and she still has his name...as we all do!

She looked after her own Mother for the last 20yrs of her life until she passed.

My Gran was diagnosed with Cancer 20yrs ago and had to have a hysterectomy. Still she continued to look after her own Mother and everyone else around her. Thankfully she is clear now but aside from lack of mobility, she also has osteoporosis which has led to a few broken bones here and there when she's fallen over.

She has Grandchildren who love her...me most of all. She looked after me quite a lot when I was a child. We had some lovely walks with her dog she had back then.

Nowadays, due to lack of mobility, she's more of a cat person as she can't walk far. She loves wildlife and nature itself. Her cat is her companion.

She's now in a position where she can no longer manage her home of 35yrs. She's not rich and she doesn't enjoy much from her state pension, just enough to barely get by, yet she still manages to give her time to her local church and arranges charity events for them.

I would love to find her a new home, warden aided and secure where she can be with other people of a similar age, who have similar interests and most of all.....where she can take her beloved cat......her friend.

To do this, I am asking people to donate even just a small amount, so that the money can be put towards a little flat or bungalow, so she can enjoy what may be her last few years.
