Grasmere is a beautiful village in the heart of the English Lake District. Every year millions of visitors come to Grasmere to enjoy the stunning scenery, lovely shops and fantastic food. Grasmere is home to many children and has a fantastic primary school.

Residents, including Grasmere Village Society and local parents, are now fundraising to improve the small village park. We would love to help make it play-park we can all be proud of!

This is a joint project between Grasmere Village Society (GVS, reg, charity number 506443) and South Lakes District Council. GVS have done a fantastic job of raising £35,000. This crowd-funding page has been set up to help us raise £15,000 more, so we reach £50,000 in total. The money raised will be spent on new equipment so that children of all ages can enjoy it. We would also like better flooring so that the park is more suitable for use rain or shine.

The layout and equipment will be chosen in consolation with local residents and parents. We are all very excited about making a big improvement to this part of our community so that it is a park locals and visitors can enjoy.
