I want to raise £500 to help very poor children who live in Kinshasa the capital city of the D R of Congo which is my home country. This money can help to buy second hand cloths and food for Christmas.
D R of Congo is a big country in the middle of Africa. The country is very rich in mineral resources but the population is very poor, they live with less than a dollar/ day. The country has been through different wars since 1998 which have cause more than 8 millions of deaths and lot of women have been raped. One of the mineral resources is COLTAN used to make mobile phones and other devices.
In 2014 I raised £400 by asking friends and I sent the money to one of charities to buy food. That money fed 35 very poor families in the Mpasa1 area in Kinshasa. I have got pictures and video of the food distribution.
This year, I would like to help families in the Ndjili area by giving them second hand cloths and food for Christmas.
Please, help me to raise this money which will help 40 very poor families. This money can buy second hand cloths for children, rice and chicken for families. This will make a smile on their faces as eating a whole chicken is special for these families.
I know that It is not a easy task but I have no choice and I have to do it, that why I am asking for your supports as together we can put a smile on a child face this Christmas.
