I've raised £30 to support my Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in March 2017 to raise funds to support the Walking for Health network.

In March 2017 I will be heading up into the Yorkshire Dales to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. I am taking part in this challenge to raise money to support the fantastic work of the Walking for Health network.
The official Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge route is extremely demanding and includes a 24 mile hike and roughly 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent to reach the summit of the three highest mountains in Yorkshire ... Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Ingleborough (723 metres) and Whernside (736 metres). I will also need to complete this challenge in less than 12 hours to be able to claim my prize and become a member of the legendary "Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club" !
WALKING FOR HEALTH is a national network of around 600 health walk schemes run by local organisations and volunteers. The network was set up 12 years ago and has enabled thousands of people with health issues to discover the great outdoors. Walking is a fantastic activity to keep healthy and live longer and can also help by reducing stress and enabling people to recover from serious illnesses. The scheme also works closely with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide walks and outdoors activities for individuals and families affected by cancer.
All of the money raised from my Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge will be donated to voluntary organisations who are part of the Walking for Health network to provide essential training, support and equipment.
My own training for this challenge has already started and I'll posting a handful of updates before, during and after the event. Please feel free to share any information about my Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with your family, friends and work colleagues (and on social media too) as every single pound raised really will make a difference to everyone who benefits from the Walking for Health network.
If you have any questions or would like to support me (or join in) then please send me a message
Many thanks for your support !
