There are between 50-250 Javan Green Magpies left in the world. Duncan (age 6 from London) is trying to help the brilliant Cikananga Wildlife Center in Indonesia save this wonderful endangered bird.
Inspired by Sir David Attenborough’s ‘Asia’ series, Duncan wants to fundraise to support the vital conservation breeding programme trying to save the Javan Green Magpie from extinction.
Duncan is delighted to be in contact with the Conservation Breeding Manager at Cikananga Wildlife Center - and has been busy learning more about birds and thinking of new ways to raise money to support their work.
Duncan has lots of fundraising plans, including: selling drawings, 3D pen animals, cakes, pompoms, toys (see below for some examples)!
