Help Greenbank Animal Sanctuary Rebuild After Devastating Break-In
We never imagined we’d have to ask for help like this, but following a traumatic break-in at our sanctuary in Bolton, we are heartbroken and urgently need your support.
On the night of 4th May 2025, our peaceful, privately funded animal sanctuary—Greenbank—was targeted in a deliberate and malicious act. Someone broke into the site and released all our animals. Many were traumatised. Several sustained serious injuries, and heartbreakingly, we lost 14 of our beloved residents—many of whom had already survived severe abuse and neglect before finding safety with us.
Our sanctuary is not a business or a public facility. It is our home, and we privately fund every aspect of it. We rescue and rehabilitate animals that have been failed by others—many are emotionally and physically scarred and need long-term care, specialist housing, and patient, loving support. For us, this is more than a sanctuary—it’s a lifeline for animals that wouldn’t survive anywhere else.
The aftermath of the break-in has left us emotionally exhausted and financially overwhelmed. Vet bills, housing repairs, and added security costs have already reached over £4,000—and continue to rise as we treat ongoing injuries and trauma.
We know times are tough for many, but if you’re in a position to help—even a small amount—it would mean the world to us. Every donation helps us rebuild, protect our animals, and ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us.
