Story
Greenvale School is aiming to raise £16,000 to increase our offer and provide more accessible bikes for school.
Cycling improves physical health, mental wellbeing and sleep quality. It is particularly important for students with sensory and physical needs to stay active to enhance coordination, strengthen balance, support healthy weight and support mental wellbeing.
Accessible bikes and trikes come at a considerable cost which makes it significantly harder for individuals and families to be able to access them regularly. We aim to raise funds to be able to offer a more diverse range of accessible bikes, trikes and scooters for students to use regularly during the school day.
Over the summer term students will be completing an hour of sponsored activity on both sites to fundraise for more accessible scooters, bikes and trikes.
We will also be carrying out a staff sponsored cycle around local Lewisham parks where families can join us to help raise funds.
Previously our student Adam completed a sponsored swim and managed to raise £1,175 towards our target. Well Done Adam!
We would appreciate any donations to help us on our way to our target.
