Story
We are a group of University of Greenwich Year 2, BA Hons Education and Community Studies undergraduate students establishing a social enterprise venture.
This is a community project that will focus on providing inspirational workshops that will offer children and young people, from different backgrounds and socio-economic groups, the opportunity to experience alternative ways of learning and living. The children and young people will take part in a range of activities, which we will develop and deliver, these will empower and encourage confidence, capacity building and determination to reach their full potential.
The Social Enterprise Aspire Workshops will also create a positive impact for the existing and future of the communities the children and young people come from, developing and benefiting from social awareness and understanding. The workshops will help us achieve a cohesive relationship with the communities that we work and learn with. It is envisaged that these workshops will have a community appeal and involved all stakeholders: family, friends, local businesses, and representatives from educational provisions, community representatives and others, in order to raise awareness and make a positive difference.
In addition, the experience of developing and establishing the Social Enterprise project will provide us with numerous attributes, skills and expertise that will be beneficial to our future progress too. Consequently, the by-product of the event will empower our overall progress on our degree, post-graduate study and future social entrepreneurial opportunities.
We are asking for your support in order to assist with the funding of the social enterprise. The monies will be used to fund inspiring activities, raise social awareness through building links with various communities and resources marketing and promotion. So please help us build a positive future for our communities.
