Story

Most people are deeply concerned by the Trump administration's political narrative. Whether it's our relationship with trading partners such as Mexico/Germany or ensuring the minimum level of healthcare for the less fortunate, respect for women or protecting our national heritage....

It's become fashionable to express discontent over the Trump administration's policies but what surprises me so often is how people criticise but then shrug it off.

Only a few months ago, my friend Eren and I completed two technical mountain climbs in the Swiss Alps over two days, asking our network to help support the Sierra Club and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. In record time we raised over £25,000.00 on JustGiving. Our friends and colleagues were so generous - and that's exactly why I am going back to my network to do it again because it will be that much more meaningful.

In Viktor Frankl's timeless classic- Man's Search for Meaning, the author argues that we always have a choice and that the meaning of our existence is to have purpose. Well, many of us don't have the time to join charitable organisations because we have family commitments or businesses to run - but we have the choice to support charitable efforts and that act can help contribute to a feeling of purpose.

If you would like to take action right now- you can help support local politicians who have little means or infrastructure to run for office. The organisation called Run for Something helps back young candidates to run for political positions under the banner of bringing back checks and balances to the US political landscape. It's not about Republican vs Democrat, it's about basic respect and universal responsibility. It means setting the correct example for our children, by preserving the right values, for their future. Come join me on this journey and have an immediate impact. Thank you for your support,

Gregory
