Story
Voices speaking the truth started every social movement in history. We believe Grenfellvoices.com is a powerful tool, a call to action in ensuring the public enquiry is broad and responding to the concerns of a community. Kensington and Chelsea TMO and the other bureaucracies in place to serve the community interest have not only neglected their responsibility to the community and it's most vulnerable, they have done so with impunity. The victims' voices are gone but the crime against them must never be forgotten, not be in vain.
What ?
An independent volunteer led website. Our ambition is that community testimonies will be a permanent public record, that all voices are heard.
Led by local filmmakers in association with Bush theatre. Grenfellvoices.com will be a living video archive for the victims, community and emergency services testimonies.
A public, permanent record of the truth of the Grenfell tower fire. Community and wider public can search, download, share and join in the conversation.
When?
As soon as we have consulted with all parts of the community and mobilised our local filmmakers.
Why?
There is no central media hub online representing the community's voice. The voices are mainstream media led, scattered and subject to censorship or removal. We want to invite all local filmmakers to share their community’s voices in one place.
How?
We will be visible filming in the community led by local filmmakers, in coordination with community leaders. Everyone will be treated with the love, respect and kindness they deserve. If community members want to tell their story we will facilitate recording it wherever, whenever (and in whichever language) they are comfortable.
The living archive of testimony will be online, promoted via social media (@grenfellvoices #grenfellvoices). All stories uncensored (in any language) from the community and made available to all to share and spread the truth of the Grenfell tower fire.

Grenfell Voices was formed by local artists and volunteers at a meeting hosted by Bush theatre, to find long term ways we can support the victims of the Grenfell fire in the public enquiry and make sure their truth is heard and justice is served.
