In 2020, the height of lockdown, I started my own animal rescue service. What started with 6 battery hens has turned into a place where unwanted ex-commerical and domestic farm birds can come for retirment, rehome, rest and sanctuary. Ladybirds works tirelessly, travling up and down the UK to taking animals that have been abused, neglected or are simply no longer wanted. To date we have saved over 1000 birds from slaughter and the number keeps growing.
