Story

GrowingLinks CIC has been forced to suspend the Street Food Project nightly meal service for the homeless and vulnerable in our community amid concerns of the COVID-19 outbreak. With concerns for the welfare of both our guests and volunteers, we have begun instead to provide our guests with emergency food parcels from our Food Store provision which also feeds over 200 people per week by way of shopping essentials.

We are no longer in a position to receive donations of tinned foods and other store cupboard essentials from the general public due to Coronavirus and current 'Lock Down' enforcements. Demand is high and our stores are running close to empty.

We are currently working with Volunteer Cornwall, under guidance and advice of the NHS, and a small team of our volunteers (key workers) are managing an outreach facility to ensure the most vulnerable members of our community are still being supported.

We are asking for financial donation towards the cost of purchasing food items that will be given out in weekly shopping bags. We have access to wholesalers so that we can make bulk purchases of essential items which can be delivered safely to our team of volunteers for distribution.

Please help if you can. Every donation counts!

Thank you
