Support our sponsored walk!
On October 31st some of our staff, volunteers and friends are doing a 14km sponsored walk around the Guisborough 3 peaks to raise funds and awareness for Growing in Harmony, our community garden. This will be quite a challenge for some of us but we think it's worth it!
Our community garden provides an accepting and inclusive place for people of diverse and often challenging backgrounds to find a sense of belonging and purpose.
Volunteers and staff alike have found that it boosts their mental health and wellbeing on so many levels, being out in nature, being around likeminded folks, having the opportunity to talk things through or just work quietly, creating something together and gaining a sense of achievement from it.
In order to keep our project and community going and continue this important and often life changing work, we need to be able to buy tools, seeds, pots, compost, building materials and all kinds of other supplies that may not be seen but are no less vital and that's where you come in! Please give what you can and share this fundraiser to help us keep up the good work!

3 years agoThanks for your support! The walk went brilliantly despite challenging weather. We reached the top of Roseberry Topping in torrential rain which cleared by the time we arrived at the hanging stone. We were very pleased with ourselves when we reached High Cliff then got back to the car in time to avoid the next shower of rain. 10 miles and 3 big hills later we've raised £270 for Growing in Harmony! 3 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far, we really appreciate your help. Katherine and I have been doing practice walks getting ready for our big three peaks walk on Halloween. Meanwhile work in the garden is coming along. We've been able to get some seedlings started and planted out for the winter and we'd love to have the resources to deliver training on this and other organic methods to the local community. We have lots of exciting ideas for moving forward with the garden and with your support we will get there!
