Glasgow Theatre And Arts Collective opened its doors in March 2011. Our beautiful home in Govan is unique in Glasgow, in that it is run by artists for artists, on a cooperative model and on a completely voluntarily basis.

GTAC has provided hundreds of artists with a welcoming and comfortable place to work on the projects that are crucial to their development. Our space, situated in a fine historic building is ideally placed to aid the creative process.

Being an artist is never easy so at the heart of GTAC is a commitment to ensure our rehearsal space is the most affordable in town. We want to make sure the art actually happens by easing the financial burden on individual artists.

Our members come from across the creative discplines of dance, performance, circus, community art, music, directing and visual arts. We prioritise access to independent and freelance artists who would otherwise struggle to find a home for their work.

Work created in our space goes on to feature at leading venues and festivals in the UK and beyond. We are also frquently the space of choice to the wider creative community who can access our space at highly competitive rates.

Over the six years of our organisation we are now in the position where we need to make a substantial upgrade to the fabric of our building. We need to make urgent repairs to electrics, heating, plumbing, fix broken equipment and put right general wear and tear to the space.

The £1000.00 we seek to raise will go directly to making our space safe and fit for purpose to all the artists who pass through our doors. Your contribution is essential for the continued progress over the next few years.
