I am going to be running guitar taster sessions throughout Swansea and Gower. They are going to be group oriented sessions on different days of the week at various locations around Swansea, mostly community centres but I also have a few other venues lined up. The sessions are going to be a 1 hour long, free of charge introduction to guitar playing. For most people the cost of buying a guitar and then paying for lessons is untenable, especially if they then decide to give it up later. This way people can try it out and see if it's for them at no cost before deciding if they want to take it further. If anyone that comes to a taster session decides they want to continue then I will give them a discount off my usual lesson fees. The idea behind asking for donations is so that I will have enough instruments to go around everyone attending the sessions without having to purchase extra guitars myself thus making it untenable for me. Advertising for the sessions has begun and we hope to start sessions very soon.
