A heartbreaking truth but the majority of us have known someone inflicted with Cancer.

There are increasingly more cases of Cancer that we hear of every day, week, month. Family, friends and friends of friends. Its never-ending and it seems that no one is untouchable. We WANT to make a difference, however small because we believe that we CAN. Mimosa has held Gala Balls and Auctions, Cocktail Parties, and organise teams of runners in the Nice-Cannes marathon each year. 2018 saw the first Mini Mimosa event – just for children. We wanted to encourage children to fundraise and have an event just for them and all proceeds went to helping children with cancer in the Alpes-Maritimes. 

We have since the beginning, been supporting La Ligue contre le Cancer – the number one national charitable organisation against Cancer in France. We have helped them generate much needed funds to help them continue to raise awareness and help cancer sufferers and their families on their journey on this bumpy and unknown path. So far Mimosa has raised over 240,000 euros that has contributed to the opening of a second Espace Ligue in Antibes to support cancer patients and their families, given financial support to the Paediatric Oncology unit at L’Archet Hospital to provide entertainers for their little patients and this year we have funded a ‘Prevention’ social media campaign. 

The Espace Ligue plays a a vital role in this battle against cancer by opening its doors to provide a haven for cancer sufferers and those close to them, offering much needed support, advice, care and workshops for free.
