I've raised £2000 to help fund Guy's place at The Royal Academy of Music.

It has been a life long dream of mine to study at The Royal Academy of Music and in December of last year I was thrilled to receive an unconditional offer to study as a postgraduate on the vocal masters course commencing in September 2017. It's a two year course and exactly what I need to further my development as a singer and hopefully set me on a path towards my career ambitions.
Unfortunately, and here is where we get to the nitty-gritty, masters degrees are very expensive. My course fees are £11,120 per year. I have been very lucky to receive an annual scholarship from Academy of £6000, but I still have a considerable way to go. As with a lot of students in the current climate, I am already heavily laden with a large amount of student debt from my undergraduate degree and am really very reluctant to increase that. I have written to many charities, organisations and individuals for help, with little luck. And with the intense training programme I will no longer be able to work full time as a freelance performer and I will be using what meagre savings I have to help cover my costs. This is why I am setting up this JustGiving page.
I will continue to endeavor to raise as much money as possible through other fundraising and singing work, but would absolutely incredibly appreciate any donations that anyone who has come to this page might be able to give. I would be eternally grateful.
As part of this fundraising I am performing in a song recital in Bristol (1:10pm, Wed 6th September @ St Stephen's Church, Bristol) so please do come along, even just to say hello and have a free concert to listen to.
Much love to you all.
